Animalcare Limited was founded in 1988 and went on to become part of Animalcare Group plc in 2008 following its acquisition by Ritchey plc (subsequently renamed Animalcare Group plc) from Genus plc. At this time, the Group commenced trading on AIM. During 2010, the agricultural operations of the former Richey plc were divested to focus solely on the veterinary operations of Animalcare Ltd.

Anupco Ltd started trading in 1976 as an export company for feed additives. Their parent company, Kela B.V. was formed in 1941 and bought Anupco Ltd in 2004. Kela are a manufacturing company of both human & veterinary pharmaceuticals and distribute these on a global level. In 2014 Anupco started supplying pharmaceutical products to the UK market and has steadily grown the business. To look at aligning the two companies and creating the ‘One Health’, the company recently changed their name to: Anupco Ltd T/A Kela Animal Health UK.
Bimeda is a manufacturer, marketer and distributor of veterinary pharmaceuticals and animal health products. Within the UK, the Bimeda portfolio focuses on the areas of parasite control, nutrition, equine health and cattle production. Bimeda offer a wide range of products across various therapeutic classes including anti-parasitics, antimicrobials, anti-inflammatories, nutritional products, sedatives, hormones, intramammaries and more. Bimeda UK headquarters is based in Llangefni which is in Anglesey, Wales. Bimeda also have a manufacturing facility in Denbigh, where their revolutionary soluble glass boluses are produced.

Bova UK are a manufacturer who provide special formulations for your practice. The Veterinary Medicines Directorate authorised the London based facility with a ManSA (Manufacturer ‘Specials’ Authorisation) in 2017. This enabled founder, Nick Bova and his experienced team, to manufacture sterile and non-sterile medicines. Bova UK was the first company to receive VMD authorisation to manufacture sterile veterinary products in the UK.
